Our Mission
ensemble vim is dedicated to bringing thoughtful, innovative programs to audiences in our home city of Atlanta. Our mission is based on three key pillars:
Excellence and Advocacy of new works from the southeast
ensemble vim aims to bring public awareness to the Southeast’s rich cultural landscape, focusing on narratives that have been historically overlooked in the hopes of creating an environment of artistic unity and diversity. We feature compositions by living composers and take pride in offering high quality, representative performances of these important works.
Collaboration across creative disciplines
ensemble vim believes that uniting music with other disciplines to foster innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Uniting the arts and collaborating across creative disciplines to highlight not only the work of composers but also other creatives, to elevate the concert experience as we know it. We support the creation of inter-/multi-disciplinary works through our spark program, which grew out of our composer fellowship program.
Community and education
ensemble vim aims to build a stronger foundation for new music in Atlanta and the Southeast with education and outreach programs targeted at youth, and other communities that are not yet typical concert-going audiences.
